We are looking for a Junior Architect Designer with a strong work ethic, creative, responsible, self-motivated, highly organized, detail oriented, personable and able to communicate clearly. The ideal candidate would have at least 1 year of significant work experience in an architectural office with experience in all design and drafting phases of a project, including on-site observation of the construction process. Eric Rosen Architects is a small office, run like a collaborative studio, where everyone has the opportunity to contribute to all phases of a project. In addition to experience, we are looking for a candidate willing to learn, grow, participate and contribute in a rigorous, fast-paced and dynamic atmosphere.

• Ability to take direction and work smoothly in a small, collaborative environment.
• Curiosity in their approach and interest in growing with our team.
• Strong technical and graphic communication skills
• Able to communicate effectively with team members, clients and consultants
• Ability to quickly learn and grasp new concepts with a willingness to accept new challenges
• Ability to prioritize and manage tasks against deadlines
• High level of organization and attention to detail
• Proficiency in CAD drawing, 3D rendering skills
• A professional degree, either BArch or MArch.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• Current residence in Los Angeles within reasonable proximity to the office

• Car license and driving license

• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Working with us in this role, you will:

• Support the Principal and Senior Director in the creation and development of design concepts.

• Prepare and coordinate architectural drawings, renderings and specifications to meet project requirements under the general supervision of the General Manager and Director.

• Manage support staff.
• Prepare presentation kits.

• Research materials and products; Consult with manufacturers, suppliers, consultants and contractors to propose appropriate design solutions.
• Implement building codes, zoning ordinances, etc. and coordinate with government agencies.
• Assist with construction administration including responding to RFIs, preparing bulletins, visiting construction sites to coordinate with contractors and subcontractors and/or preparing checklists.
