VIVIZ Becomes First K-pop Girl Group To Feature In GRAMMY’s Global Spin Series

VIVIZ is ready to perform in the GRAMMY’s “Global Spin” digital series! On April 22, it was officially announced that Eunha, SinB, and Umji will be performing their debut track “BOP BOP!” for the performance series on April 26 at 10 a.m. PT (10:30 p.m. IST).

With that, VIVIZ will become the fourth Korean artist to perform on the show after BI, Seori, and ATEEZ, and the first Korean girl group overall. Previously, the members of VIVIZ became the first girl group to be interviewed for the GRAMMY Mini Masterclass, when they were part of girl group GFRIEND.

The GRAMMY’s Global Spin Series is an effort by the Recording Academy to promote a variety of notable global music, showing acceptance of the diversity of music around the world. VIVIZ reportedly wears a hanbok designed by famous modern hanbok designer Hwang Yi Seul in front of Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul.

Apparently, an executive from the production team of “Global Spin” praised VIVIZ’s performance, saying, “so cool, it’s amazing.” The performance will be streamed on the official GRAMMY website and other social media platforms.

Comprised of former GFRIEND members Eunhua, SinB, and Umji, VIVIZ debuted on February 9, 2022, with their debut extended track “Beam of Prism.” The name of the group is an abbreviation of “VIVId dayZ”, with “VIVId” meaning clear and intense, and “dayZ” meaning “days”. Additionally, it is also an abbreviation of each of the members’ names, Eunbi (Eunha’s real name), SinB, and Umji (pronounced “bibiji” in Korean).
